The 2024 Michelin Guide for Spain has been revealed and Madrid has once again done itself proud. The city now boasts a total of 26 restaurants with Michelin stars: DiverXO, which holds three stars; Deessa, Smoked Room, Paco Roncero, Ramón Freixa Madrid, DSTAgE and Coque, all with two; and Ricardo Sanz Wellington, A'Barra, Gaytán, Yugo The Bunker, La Tasquería, Clos Madrid, El Corral de la Morería Gastronómico, El Invernadero, Saddle, Quimbaya, RavioXO (Dabiz Muñoz), Ugo Chan and Zuara Sushi, with one star, who’ve been joined this year by six new additions: Desde 1911, Cebo, OSA, Club Allard, Santerra and Toki.
Coque and El Invernadero have retained their Green Star, which highlights the efforts of those operating at the forefront of their field with sustainable gastronomy practices. Outside the capital, but in the Madrid area, Chirón and Montia also bear Green Stars.
Additionally, the guide has also awarded 20 establishments a Bib Gourmand, which is given to restaurants deemed friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices. Last, but by no means least, the guide includes 114 eateries in the Spanish capital that are recognised for their quality.
