Madrid City Card allows you to enjoy benefits and discounts on the city's top tourist, cultural and leisure attractions. It also includes a travel pass that you can use to get around most of the city on public transport for free.
The city’s new official sightseeing pass offers multiple benefits:
Discounts: in museums and other cultural and leisure attractions.
Fast pass: skip-the-line entrance to some of the main tourist attractions.
Tourist Travel Pass: Zone A included in your Madrid City Card.
Other benefits: other special benefits in affiliated establishments.
Options and Prices
The card includes a Tourist Travel Pass issued by the CRTM, Madrid's Regional Transport Consortium, which allows you to use the city's public transport system for your selected number of days.

You can buy your Madrid City Card online on the website of Madrid’s official shop, and pick it up at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport (T2 and T4).You can purchase it in the Plaza Mayor Tourist Information Centre and at the following tourist information points: Callao, the Royal Palace, Paseo del Prado, CentroCentro and the Reina Sofía Museum.

- Children under 11 years old receive a 50% discount on the price of their Madrid City Card.
- Children under 4 years old do not need a Madrid City Card to enjoy discounts and other benefits or to travel on public transport for free.

How do I activate my Madrid City Card?
You can start using your Madrid City Card for discounts and benefits as soon as you purchase it from one of the city's Tourist Information Offices. The Tourist Travel Pass will be automatically activated the first time you use it on any mode of public transport.
Validity of the card
You can continue using your Madrid City Card for discounts and benefits for 1 month after purchasing it. The Tourist Travel Pass will only be valid for your chosen period: 1 day or 2, 3, 4 or 5 consecutive days. Please note that the Tourist Travel Pass is valid for calendar days, not for 24-hour periods. This means that if you activate it at 11:59pm, you will already have used up a full day.
How can I find out which establishments are included in my Madrid City Card?
The museums that make up the Art Walk (Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofía), the Teleférico cable car, the Faro de Moncloa observation deck and Liria Palace are just some of the attractions included in the pass. Find out more on the official website.
How do I use my Madrid City Card at establishments that accept the card?
You can enjoy discounts and benefits by simply showing the QR code on your card. You can only use it once in each establishment, unless otherwise indicated in the description of the activity.
